It is relatively straightforward to do and many of your competitors will not likely have done it yet. The benefit for you is that these pages are favoured by the major search engines for local searches and are very visible in their search engine results.
In more competitive markets, local results are also influenced by online reviews and mentions (known as citations) of your business. Understand where and how you can get both of these for your own business on an ongoing basis and you will dominate the local search results for your market.
